Now I just wanted to switch over my career to as a vba programmer. Will this book helpfull to me? I mean I am looking for a complete vba programmer guide. with explanation of code in plain english.

Answer:The first step in becoming a Consultant in Excel is the mastering of the function SUMPRODUCT. This function is part of 95% of the applications that I develop for my clients.

The second step is mastering VBA. My tutorial is designed to help you become an expert with macros. It is not designed for programmers but for Excel users.

But more than anything if you want to become a Consultant in Excel you must know about data and data sources. The better your background in accounting, databases, business data, the better your chances to develop a clientele.

There is a lot of work for Consultants in Excel and the money is very good (my hourly rate is $150) but clients are looking for experts knowlegeable in data management and analysis.

For a complete tutorial on SUMPRODUCT download the series of workbooks from www.excel-examples.com and then use my tutorial on VBA (www.excel-vba.com) to develop your skills with macros.

Good luck
